No More Shampoo Mistakes

You think that you know how to wash your hair? Well, that is not the complete truth! Here are some common mistakes we do while washing hair and sadly we didn’t even recognise it before. Like they say, better late than never! So here are some mistakes that we do while having a hair wash.
You daily have a hair wash. This means that you not only apply shampoo 7 days a week but 365 days a year. You don’t really have to shampoo you hair on a daily basis. Washing hair alternate days will in fact do you some good. Also we stick to only one shampoo. Well the truth is that you need to switch the shampoo once in a while. Doing so will help in the prevention of building up of certain ingredients like silicon. So it is advised that every couple of months, you should replace your current shampoo with another formulated for your hair type. You can also try a clarifying shampoo once a month.
Before shampoo, wet you hair well. Majority of the time, portions of the hair are dry and waterless. Without enough water, shampoo doesn’t lather. in other to generate more lather, you will add more of shampoo to your hair. This will not only strip your pocket but also your hair. So stand under the shower spray for an extra minute before applying the shampoo.
Many a times, we see one particular spot on the head that is dry. This occurs due to applying shampoo on the same spot on the head the every time you have a hair wash. Try alternating your routine by starting your shampoo at the nape of your neck and distributing the lather onto your hair before moving toward the top of your head. To avoid damaging hair, avoid creating friction. Instead of rubbing them together massage your scalp with your fingertips rather than your fingernails or palms.
And lastly remember to never use hot water for hair wash. Piping hot water dries your scalp and hair. Instead use lukewarm water or cold water.
