The new Google Chromebook

Not a long while ago, Google’s Chrome OS was just big internet surfing machines with a few other basic features. The cost wasn’t very high, they went online, and that is what all you could say about them.

Now the Chromebooks third or fourth major generation is out, we can see the degree by which these internet surfing machines have evolved and there is absolutely no reason for them not being your main laptop. The current models have a basic filing system and media management tools, and almost everything. Gmail would be your main application. Spotify is the primary music source or you can use another streaming source, Videos are from Netflix, Amazon or YouTube. Google Docs is going to be your main office work tool or you can also, use free versions of Microsoft Office.

In addition to all this, the New Chromebooks have also added Android app compatibility. So now, in systems such as the Samsung Chromebook Pro, you can download, install and run a lot of new apps. Only a few apps are optimized for chrome os till now but surely there will be more.

The plus point here is that a New and cheap Chromebook feels faster and more responsive than the other cheap windows laptop. In about $500 or less you can own a Chromebook.

Acer Chromebook R11which has an 11.6-inch HD display, an Intel Celeron N3150 CPU and 2GB of RAM — for $169.
