3 Best Teas to Lose Belly Fat

Spread the love

Tea – a beverage enjoyed around the world. Just pour hot water onto tea leaves and allow them to steep for several minutes. Their flavor infuses into the water. This aromatic beverage is most commonly made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, a type of evergreen shrub native to Asia.

Drinking tea has been associated with many health benefits, including reducing the risk of heart disease and protecting cells from damage. According to some studies, tea may help fight belly fat and enhance weight loss. Certain types have been found to be more effective than others at achieving this.

Below are six of the best teas for increasing weight loss and decreasing body fat.

Green Tea
Green tea is linked to many health benefits. Considered one of the most effective teas for weight loss, green tea has been linked to decreases in both weight and body fat.
In one 2008 study, 60 obese people followed a standardized diet for 12 weeks while regularly drinking either green tea or a placebo.
The study showed that those who drank green tea lost 7.3 pounds (3.3 kg) more weight than the placebo group (3Trusted Source).

Puerh Tea
A type of Chinese black tea that has been fermented, it is also known as pu’er or pu-erh tea, puerh tea.
It is often enjoyed after a meal, and has an earthy aroma that tends to develop the longer it’s stored.
Some animal studies have shown that puerh tea may lower blood triglycerides and blood sugar.
A study in rats had findings showing that puerh tea extract helped suppress weight gain and had an anti-obesity effect.
Current research is limited to puerh tea extract, so more research is needed to see if the same effects apply to drinking it as a tea.

Black Tea
Black tea is tea that has undergone more oxidation than other teas such as green, white or oolong teas.
Oxidation is a chemical reaction that occurs when the tea leaves are exposed to the air. This results in browning that causes the characteristic dark color of black tea.
There are many different types and blends of black tea available. These include popular varieties like English breakfast and Earl Grey.
